Events - Fundraising - Sponsored Walk

A huge thank you to everyone who took part in this year's walk - we are looking set for a great result.
Sid
Downe - our virtual walker - was sighted along the route (13 times!).
Thanks to a late run of on- and offline donations, he has cracked his target, but it's not yet too late, if you would like to contribute.
Thanks to the tremendous support of Grundon, who sponsored the event, we have so far been promised nearly 17,900, with Gift Aid still to follow, so it looks like we have beaten our target of £17,500, which is just amazing. Sid, who is getting to be a bit of a whizz with the technology, has set up this widget so you can see what we have already received:
A MASSIVE THANK YOU TO YOU ALL - WE WERE BLOWN AWAY BY YOUR ENERGY AND ENTHUSIASM, PARTICULARLY IN ALL THAT HEAT - WHICH REMINDS US, DON'T FORGET TO CHECK YOUR POCKETS FOR ANY MELTY MARS BARS!!
Now the REALLY hard work begins - collecting sponsorship - probably harder than doing the walk!
We are hoping to have everything safely gathered in by 1st July. Nicky at the Playground is 'Head of Collecting' for this occasion.
Cheques, payable to TVAP (or cash!) are just fine, and can be sent, or delivered, to:
Nicky Hutchinson, Thames Valley Adventure Playground, Bath Road, Taplow, Maidenhead, Berkshire, SL6 0PR.
Oh yes - please could we have your sponsorship forms as well, so we can reclaim all that lovely Gift Aid? Many thanks.

The Playground's Sponsored Walk has been an annual feature in the Fundraising calendar since 2003. This year's walk will be held on
Saturday 22nd May and we are delighted that

have generously agreed to sponsor the event in 2010, meaning that
every penny you raise will be used to help the Adventure Playground.
5, 10 or 15 mile walks out along the Jubilee River and back along the Thames are on offer. There are several watering holes en route or you can pack a picnic - the perfect way to enjoy the glories of the local waterways, and support the Adventure Playground at the same time. Maps will be provided along with bottled water, and there will be Marshalls at strategic points to offer help and guidance.
For further details or to enter, please see the Entry Form. If you would like to take part, please complete the form and return it to Nicky Hutchinson at the Adventure Playground along with your entry fee, payable to TVAP, for £3.50 in advance, or £5 on the day. You will receive an entry number, along with a personalized sponsorship form. If you prefer the hi-tech approach, it is possible to set up your own fundraising page through JustGiving.
For more information please email sponsoredwalk@tvap.co.uk
We do hope you can join us.
