Hello, and welcome to my page.
JUST A QUICK UPDATE - ALONG WITH A MASSIVE THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO SUPPORTED MY WALK. AS YOU MAY HAVE SEEN FROM THE FRONT PAGE - I DID DO IT - AND HAVE WITNESSES WHO SAW ME ALONG THE WAY TO SUPPORT THE FACT! THANKS TO YOUR AMAZING CONTRIBUTIONS, I SEEM TO HAVE RAISED AN INCREDIBLE AMOUNT OF MONEY. I CANNOT THANK YOU ALL ENOUGH - AND NEITHER CAN THE PLAYGROUND! WILL BE OFF FOR A BIT OF A SIT DOWN, BUT WILL KEEP MY PAGE OPEN FOR A WHILE SO YOU CAN SEE HOW I GOT ON!
ABOUT ME:
My name is Sid, Sid Downe. You probably know my half brother Stan Dupp - he's always been the all-action member of the family, but this year he's thrown down the challenge to get me off the sofa and see just how much money I can raise for the Adventure Playground's Sponsored Walk! The Walk isn't until May, but thought I'd better start collecting soon . . . !
Must say, wasn't at all sure that it was my kind of thing, but when my sister, Shirley Knott, told me she didn't think I could do it, well, that was it, I knew I had to prove her wrong. This is why I am here today, asking you to sponsor me and help me to raise a huge amount of cash to keep the Playground going. I know they have been having a tough time of late and need all the help they can get, and, if you would like to contribute, it couldn't be more straightforward. I have set up a fundraising page with Just Giving where it is seriously easy to donate, without even leaving the comfort of your armchair - just hit the Donate Online Button below! If you prefer something a little less technical, a cheque would be grand (made payable to TVAP). Nicky at the Playground has said she is very happy to accept donations on my behalf, either by post or in person.
