ALL ABOUT ... - Outside Places - Crazy golf
Tucked between the toddlers' area and the lake is our outdoor games area. Crazy golf always goes down well, especially with the dads, who can sometimes feel a little left out to begin with. It's also a great chance for interaction between siblings and the more able children, although we don't encourage too much competition!
If golf is not your sport, we also have a paved 'chess board' where you can challenge your friends to an oversized game of chess or draughts. It is another very social activity and a chance for users to help each other. Sometimes two people with quite profound physical disabilities can orchestrate the game, with people who are more physically-able moving the pieces for them.
A great way to encourage co-operation and sharing!
